Connecting Business Strategy with Digital Execution

Awais Rana Professional Portrait

I have never followed a perfectly linear career path. My work has moved through business ownership, entrepreneurship, digital commerce, marketing, manufacturing operations and AI-assisted systems development. What connects those chapters is a consistent interest in understanding complicated situations, identifying what is missing and building a clearer way forward.

Running Rana Traders, Ovaiz Impex, and LA Dream Destiny taught me the realities of business ownership—cash flow management, supply chains, and client acquisition. As commerce moved online, I managed storefronts across Amazon, Walmart, and Shopify. This work showed me the power of data-driven feedback loops and storefront operations.

At Rafiq Jamil Textile Industries Pvt. Ltd., I saw that marketing and operations must be aligned. Tasked initially with Terry Division marketing, I encountered internal process friction in shift schedules, leave requests, and payroll visibility. I mapped these processes and helped develop AI-assisted internal system prototypes around real business requirements.

I am not a traditional computer science graduate; my development capability comes from using modern AI-assisted tools (like Cursor, Claude Code, and Antigravity) to build functional prototypes directly from business requirements. I translate business and management requirements into workflows, specifications and testable system features, while recognising where specialist engineering review is required.
